There are no formal prerequisites. However, you must be 18 years or older to complete the CFSC certification.

Does the CFSC Require Recertification?

Yes—but we’ve kept it simple.

To maintain your certification:

  • Stay Active: Keep your account active with a valid payment method and auto-renewal enabled
  • Earn 3 CEUs every 3 years:
    • CFSC courses count automatically
    • Level 2 resets your Level 1 timeline
    • External courses can be submitted (1 day = 1 CEU)
  • Renewal: Once requirements are met, your certification will automatically renew

👉 No exams. No video submissions. Just continue learning and improving as a coach.

Renewal fee: $150

How many spots will you have for each hands on training?

Workshop size depends on the facility, but we intentionally keep groups small to maintain a low coach-to-attendee ratio and ensure a high-quality learning experience.

What does the online theoretical and practical exam consist of?

Once registered, you’ll receive access to online pre-course materials, including:

  • Lectures
  • Exercise demonstrations
  • Online textbook
  • Written exam

You must pass the online exam (80% or higher) before attending the in-person course.

  • Multiple choice format
  • Based entirely on the pre-course materials
  • $25 retake fee if needed

(Level 2 follows a similar process.)

The practical examination, if taken in person, will consist of demonstrating, coaching and progressing exercises covered during practical workshop.

What happens if someone fails the hands on exam?

t’s not uncommon, and you’ll have a clear path to complete your certification.

  • You can submit a video retest demonstrating competency
  • Our team will review your submission and provide feedback
  • Once approved, you will complete your certification

Retest fee: $100
